Masters of Physiotherapy
Bachelor of Kinesiology
Certified in Functional Dry Needling and Pelvic Floor
Andrea obtained both her Masters of Physical Therapy and an undergraduate in Kinesiology from UBC. Her interest in neurology was sparked during her undergraduate years and was fortunate to further focus on this specialty in her Masters. Andrea spent one of her rotations at GF Strong on the Spinal Cord Unit, which really ignited the flame and allowed her to delve further into the treatment of those with neurological injuries.
She was also privileged to participate as a physiotherapy student at the Sea to Sky Aphasia Camp in Squamish and work with individuals with aphasia following stroke. Post-graduation, Andrea has continued to take courses furthering her knowledge of orthopaedics including Level 2 Manual Therapy Lower Quadrant certification under the Canadian Orthopaedic Division, Mulligan’s Lower Extremity, and Functional Dry Needling (IMS). Recently, Andrea has received her certification in the treatment of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and will continue to further her education in this field.
Outside of the clinic you can find Andrea in the great outdoors (usually with a coffee in hand) and appreciating the importance of an active lifestyle.
