Heather graduated with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2015. Prior to completing this degree, Heather also worked for 7 years as a rehabilitation assist after graduating from the Grant MacEwan therapist assistant program in Edmonton, Alberta. Working as a rehabilitation assistant is how she realized her passion for the field of occupational therapy and the many opportunities it afforded to help people with a wide range of abilities.
Heather is enjoying continuing to develop her neurorehabilitation skills with the Neuromotion Physiotherapy team. Heather takes a keen interest in upper limb rehabilitation and working with clients to find ways to improve daily function as they continue to improve. If you have questions about wheelchair seating, upper extremity rehabilitation, or are having difficulty completing some of your daily tasks, Heather looks forward to meeting with you to help work towards your goals.
In her leisure time, Heather enjoys running, backcountry hiking and camping, spending time at the lake with friends and reading a good book with a cup of tea under a cozy blanket.
