Kei Nishikawa was born in Japan and raised in Vancouver. He grew up playing numerous sports, including basketball, soccer and track and field. Love for sports had led Kei to coach basketball for a local high school and club teams. From a keen interest in the mind-body relation, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics with minor in Psychology subsequently followed by a Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of British Columbia. Upon graduation, his continued interest in the mind-body relation led Kei to focus his practice in neurological physiotherapy. His life-long learning approach drives him to pursue further education in numerous areas of physiotherapy.
Professionally, Kei also works at Vancouver General Hospital at the Intensive Care Unit as well as at the Burns/Plastics and Trauma Unit. Outside of work, Kei enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing sports, travelling and camping to immerse himself in the outdoor lifestyle that the beautiful British Columbia offers!
