Kiersten knew from a early age that she wanted to pursue a career in physiotherapy and has always been interested in studying human movement. Originally from Vancouver, Kiersten knew that after traveling for her studies, that she would eventually settle back in the Lower Mainland. She obtained her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Australia after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology & Health Science at York University in Toronto. Kiersten was first introduced to neurological physiotherapy after a family member suffered a stroke and was fascinated by watching his recovery. While studying physiotherapy, Kiersten had the opportunity to work in neurological rehabilitation and discovered a passion for working with people with neurological disorders including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease. She has also worked in the community with stroke survivors and has facilitated both individuals and group classes. Kiersten is looking forward to learning more about neurological physiotherapy through coursework and lectures. She is passionate about working with clients from all ages and is excited to be joining the team at Neuromotion Physiotherapy. Outside of the clinic Kiersten can be found practicing yoga, playing with her dog or doing anything outdoors. Kiersten is currently training to complete her first full marathon in the next year.
