Laura is a British trained physiotherapist, graduating in 2010 from the University of Birmingham. Whilst studying she volunteered at a private neuro clinic helping to run the post-stroke upper limb exercise class.
Laura started her physiotherapy career working in a hospital gaining experience in acute stroke rehab, orthopaedics, MSK outpatients and cardio-respiratory including the treatment of patients in ICU. She developed a special interest in treating people with neurological conditions and since 2012 has been working in neuro-specific roles. She has experience working with neurological clients in a hospital in-patient and out-patient setting as well as in their own homes.
Before leaving the UK to move to Canada, Laura worked for the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, in this role she further developed her skills in treating vestibular conditions.
Laura believes in life long learning and has taken numerous courses to further her clinical skills including, soft and scotch splinting, kinesiology taping and is a Saebo-flex trained clinician. Furthermore, she has completed her Introduction to Bobath course.
Outside work Laura enjoys anything outdoors, in the winter you’ll find her skiing and in the summer cycling, hiking or camping.
